In December of 2020, Our Lady Mt. Carmel Preschool was awarded a grant by Shea Homes to update our 20 year old playground!  

 Shea Homes is planning to complete the work this summer. The children will return to school in August to a beautiful NEW and VERY upgraded playground!

The playground upgrades will consist of:

• Increasing the playground area by removing the east wall and incorporating the space between the teachers’ lounge and the current preschool wall
• A new play system
• A mud kitchen
• An outdoor classroom with shade covering
• New Minds In Motion equipment such as balance beams and stepping stools
• Relocating and redoing the garden area including new fencing
• New turf to accommodate the upgrades  

Our goal is to raise $12,000.00.  With this in mind, we have two ways you can help us accomplish our goal.

• First we hope you would prayerfully consider a gift of $150.00. However, we are grateful for any amount you can contribute. You may donate at the bottom of the Sponsorship tab.

• Second we have brought back our traditional OLMC Preschool spaghetti dinner in May, themed “Pasta for our Playground”.  Spend the evening outdoors on the Plaza in front of McCready Hall with friends and family as you enjoy a delicious meal. The dinner will be catered by Avanti restaurant and will include a silent auction.  All of the proceeds from the dinner and auction will go towards the preschool’s new playground.
